Paul and I spent a weekend at this campground and just fell in love with how peaceful and family friendly this place can get. There are two different types of camping options they offer. You can rent out a glamping tents or a RV camping site. We chose the glamping tent and his mom chose the RV camping site which was right next to our tents. I was pretty bummed I didn’t take enough photos of the place to show more of our experience but we wanted to live more for the moment than spend most of our time taking photos. If you click the link of their website above, it will take you to their website filled with photos of the campgrounds.

We got there on a Friday and spent the day getting settled in along with getting ready to see a movie. They offer an outdoor movie screening with chairs (we brought our own) and our favorite candy and snacks. After the movie we ended it with dinner and s’mores. They do have a camp fire at the RV sites which was fun to use. During s’mores the stars were unreal. You can see so many stars which made you feel the beauty of nature and escaping that suburban/city life for a while. After enjoying the night it was time to spend the night in our tent.

Our tent was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. What was so neat, they offered heated blankets as there is no heating inside the tent. The blankets worked wonders as we woke feeling warm. What I didn’t realize In Nevada City at night was pretty cold in June and during the day a nice cool warm weather. On Saturday we spent the day celebrating his moms birthday by playing board games and walking around the grounds. Next to the site has a train museum. Its totally free all they ask if for a donation if you you would like to ride the train. Which we totally did. The experience was so fun and we just felt like kids again. After we just enjoyed the day with family and the beauty of the trees.

On Sunday we woke up and checked out at 11am. We woke up so early. I don’t know about you but when I am camping I just love waking up early to smell the free cool air and just sit on my camping chair with a blanket and sipping on a warm cup of tea. I felt like we had do much time before we checked out we enjoyed walking around. Went on a little trail walk and started packing up. It was a bitter sweet experience having to leave as just nature for me is medicine for my soul.

We had so much fun and a wonderful experience at this camp ground. Before I end this blog here are a few things on why we just adored this place

  • They had a sink area to clean your dishes
  • bathroom and showers were super clean
  • Train Museum was a walking distance from our camp ground
  • lots of benches around the camp ground
  • Very peaceful and everyone respected quiet hours
  • smoking not allowed as they had designated smoking areas
  • tents were super clean and so adorable
  • Area for your car to park next to your tent/RV site
  • They have a mini store which offers lots of fun local beverage, snacks and gifts items
  • They have a pool

Because I can go on and on, I must end it here. Hope you enjoyed this blog and if you have been here or have any questions please leave a comment below.

with much love,

  1. They do also have tent sites! Which is a nice option too.

We plan a trip here yearly. It’s close to Nevada City and several hiking areas there.

Nevada City has a choice of shops, boutiques and restaurants for your choosing.

Also Inn Town is a pet friendly option. Meaning you can bring your animals for a fee.
